I signed for Fisher in the 1988-89 season from memory aged 17/18 and Paul was one of the main players at the club and he was great to me and the other young lads looking out for us
He wasn't known as Paul then or even PC - he had another nickname but after a while that changed to PC because he wanted it to I think! I remember I got his boots re-covered as he's gone through the toes and I used to take mine to Maurice Banham who put leather caps over the front so you could still use your favourite boots - Paul was well pleased
